R55 acquired this redundant contaminated Gasometer from Scottish & Southern Energy PLC (SSE) in 2014.

 

Despite the site being located in a residential neighbourhood, Sutton local authority firmly resisted the delivery of any new housing on the site.

 

R55 developed an effective remediation and demolition strategy and sold the site to Safestore PLC in December 2018.
